The client desires to establish a private clubhouse that incorporates elements of Chinese tradition, such as a Chinese tea room and a space for Chinese calligraphy. Clarity Concepts takes this vision and reimagines the area by blending the traditional Chinese concept with modern, sleek lines, resulting in a more contemporary space.

 

The office’s contemporary design draws inspiration from a modern reinterpretation of a tea house, incorporating the serene Zen of tea art, Chinese literature, and calligraphy as foundational elements. By incorporating clean geometric lines and subtle curves that symbolize the serene essence of tea art. It also features a delicate hint of peach blossom and utilizes timber as essential elements.

The Chinese tea room has undergone a transformation, embodying a contemporary aesthetic. The space features a full-height display shelf crafted from dark timber, which provides ample space to showcase the client’s tea collection and Chinese ornaments.Complementing the dark wood tones, vibrant orange accents create a striking contrast, infusing the room with a modern Chinese ambiance.

 

The high double-volume ceiling is leveraged to enhance the spacious and airy feel of the tea room. Pendant lights hang elegantly over the linear tea table, illuminating the area and adding a touch of refinement. Overall, the redesigned Chinese tea room seamlessly blends traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in a cohesive and visually appealing space that celebrates the client’s passion for tea and Chinese culture.

 

The space also includes a dedicated dining room, designed specifically for hosting important clients. This dining area embraces a contemporary Chinese aesthetic, complemented by the feature double-height ceiling. The lofty, double-volume space creates an ideal environment for engaging in conversations while savoring authentic Chinese cuisine and tea.

 

The curved double-height ceiling in this area further enhances the soothing, welcoming ambiance, seamlessly integrating the dining experience with the overall contemporary Chinese design language of the space.

 

The combination of the tea room’s refined elegance and the dining room’s inviting atmosphere provides a versatile and visually striking setting for the client to entertain and interact with their guests, immersed in the celebration of Chinese culture and hospitality.

This area has been stripped of traditional Chinese elements
and can be easily converted into a meeting room.
