Graffiti
Sector:Food & Beverage
Size: 2,500 SQ/FT
Location: Central, Hong Kong

The client has requested that the original name “Graffiti” be maintained for this location, as it is a well-known nightclub among younger generations in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong. In response to this, the design team has created “Graffiti 2.0” by adding the word “Playroom” to the name.

The design concept for this club revolves around a contemporary digital representation of a new style of graffiti. By combining with the retro representation of our futuristically-inspired nightclub featuring a pixelated element, which is an integral aspect of the design. This pixelated element helps to create an overall aesthetic that blends futuristic and retro vibes, evoking a distinct cyberpunk atmosphere.

The entrance facade has a grid-like design complemented by an RGB lighting system that can be programmed to mimic the appearance of dynamic graffiti strokes. The facade incorporates weather-resistant LED screens arranged in a grid pattern, effectively transforming it into an expansive, versatile canvas.

This serves as the starting point for the “Playroom” experience. The design was also inspired by the visual aesthetic of being immersed in a gaming environment. The grid-like patterns create a graphical, pixelated atmosphere for the visitors. Combined with the Matrix RGB LED lighting, this enhances the overall futuristic and technologically-advanced experience for the bar’s patrons.

The bar has been revitalised by replacing a grid of “G” logos on the existing bar with an array of RGB LED light box installed behind it. This gives the bar a pixelated, digital graffiti-inspired aesthetic, effectively transforming it into a modernized, tech-forward space.

The design is inspired by the visual aesthetic of being immersed in a gaming environment. The Matrix RGB LED lighting enhances the overall futuristic and technologically-advanced experience.

Attention to detail is evident in elements like the sofa, which also incorporates the grid-like design language to enhance the modern, technological atmosphere. LED screens and use of infinity mirrors also contributes to the overall vibe. As a final touch, LED graffiti has been added to the walls, adding a more playful vibe to the “Graffiti Playroom” concept. This pixelated game inspired the grid-like patterns design which creates a graphical, pixelated atmosphere for the visitors.
