Project:
Palm Springs
Sector:Residential
Size: 2,300 SQ/FT
Location: Yuen Long, Hong Kong

The design caters to a Client who has an international background and intends to use this house as a secondary home. Our goal is to create a design that exudes warmth and comfort, while also evoking a sense of being a home away from home.

The design depicts our vision of an ideal home. It showcases a unique home experience, achieved through a soft, natural colour palette and subtle, flowing curves.

The house also features a master bedroom, a secondary bedroom and 2 guest bedrooms, as well as a walk-in closet, and gym room.  This contemporary design effectively transports the client back to their hometown, offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong, providing a sense of tranquillity.

To utilize the double volume space effectively, we have incorporated the staircase within an enclosure, which features a spacious window overlooking the living room, offering a picturesque view.

The floating TV cabinet creates an airy, lightweight feel that complements the double-height ceiling, giving the impression of a spacious and comfortable area.

The natural stone feature wall next to the staircase, positioned behind the sofa, features intricate groove line patterns that add a sophisticated touch while maintaining an upscale ambiance. The lighting has been thoughtfully chosen to accentuate this double-height space.

The open bar table top connects the living space to the kitchen, creating a seamless flow between the two areas. This design feature promotes socialization and makes the overall environment feel more spacious and cohesive.

The dining area and a lounge area, all under a glass roof that mimic the sunlight of the Californian sun. This seamlessly extends to the back garden, equipped with a state of the art barbecue for the client to host dinner parties on weekends.

The natural lighting brought in through the glass roof bright up the entire atmosphere, creating varying moods of light and shadow that change throughout the day.

The spacious kitchen serves not only the dining area but also the living area through a bar-style countertop. The glass roof allows natural light to flood the space, making the time spent cooking a pleasant experience.

The various areas are seamlessly connected under the expansive glass roof, which also features a timber ceiling that provides ample shading when needed.
